Performance data
July monthly performance data for AIModels.fyi

Key Performance Indicators

Each month, I keep a close watch on several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). They include:

  1. Monthly Active Users (MAU): The number of unique visitors engaging with the site at least once a month.
  2. Engagement Time: The average duration a user spends on the site per visit.
  3. Bounce Rate: The percentage of visitors who leave after viewing just one page.
  4. Newsletter Subscriptions: The number of new subscribers added to our mailing list.

Here's how we did against our targets in July:

Monthly Active Users (MAU)

The MAU for July stood at 6,700, marking a 10% month-over-month (MoM) increase. Even though this indicates growth, it didn't meet the target of 10,000 users. Therefore, I'll be retaining the same target for the next month. I'm hopeful that ongoing efforts to boost site visibility and share meaningful content will get us there.

Engagement Time

The average user engagement time for July was 47s. That's a 7% rise MoM. Although an improvement, it still fell short of the 1-min target. For August, I'll be keeping the same target, intending to boost this metric by refining the content's relevancy and enhancing user experience.

Bounce Rate

The bounce rate in July was 51%, which is a 7% decrease from June. This significant improvement is encouraging, but we still missed the target of 50%. Lowering the bounce rate by another point will be the target for August. I'm confident that further refinements to the website's user interface and the value of the content will help achieve this.

Newsletter Subscriptions

The standout metric for July was the newsletter subscriptions. With a remarkable 40% MoM increase, the number of new subscriptions reached 465. Not only did this surpass the target of 400 new subscribers, but it did so with a significant margin! For the upcoming month, I've set an ambitious new target of 650.

Wrapping Up

Reviewing the performance for July, I see areas where I've made significant progress (the newsletter subscriptions, for instance) and areas where I need to focus more (like MAU and engagement time). The journey of building AIModels.fyi is filled with continuous learning and iteration. Your continued support is deeply appreciated, and I look forward to sharing more updates as part of this "building in public" journey.

I value your feedback and suggestions immensely. Please share your thoughts as they help shape a more transparent and collaborative AI community. Let's continue building together!
